Submissions

The Youth Journal of Mathematics accepts submissions in 2 main categories, Problems and Articles. All submissions must go through our submission portal above.

Problem Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts submitted in the Problems category must be original works with detailed solutions included. Submissions may be in .pdf or image form. Problems can contain any content covered in standard high school mathematical courses or high schools mathematics competitions such as AMC10/12 or ARML. Materials covered in fundamental college courses(Single and Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations) are also acceptable. If you have any ideas not included in these categories or questions regarding the submission process please contact yjomet@googlegroups.com as we are very willing to make accommodations.

Article Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts submitted in the Articles category must be original works written in a professional tone. All manuscripts must be in .pdf form. Articles can contain any content covered in standard high school mathematical courses without detailed explanations. More advanced college content should be explained in more detail. If you have any ideas not included in these categories or questions regarding the submission process please contact yjomet@googlegroups.com

The category of Articles covers many different manuscript topics. Different topics will be reviewed accordingly and will have varying levels of acceptance to promote a diverse array of published articles. Topics can include but are not limited to:

Historical Reviews, Original Research(or solving an interesting problem), Problem-Solving Methodology, Modern Mathematical Applications, Information Regarding Mathematics Programs

Other Categories

The Youth Journal of Mathematics also accepts more niche categories for submissions, such as Art(for cover and throughout the journal) and other interesting math-related ideas. Please submit these through the submission portal or email them to yjomet@googlegroups.com.

Review Process

The standard initial processing time is between 1-2 weeks. Manuscripts using higher-level college mathematics may take 2-3 weeks due to advanced content. Articles that are deemed to be of quality for publishing or honor roll may be sent back for minor revision with editorial suggestions.

Article Processing Charges

We do not charge any submission or processing fee in order to make our journal more accessible to all. If you would like to donate to our operations, we have a donations page.
